Overview
This game is what most fighting fans considered as a cheap cabon copy to Street Fighter 2. This is because you can choose 8 characters, and after you defeat all 8 characters, you face 4 bosses. However, there is more features. The plane movement is still featured, this game also featured the desperation move, in which you can use the character's super move when the health meter is low.
In the Super NES version, you can play as the 4 bosses via button code.
Story
It has been several months after Terry Bogard defeated Geese Howard and was crowned the "King of Fighters". Now, Terry discovers Geese's crime ring that he was secretly running in which corrupted South Town. Now that Geese is pronounced dead, Geese half brother Wolfgang Krauser is trying to revive Geese criminal orginization. So, Terry and his brother Andy along with other fighters Joe, Kim Kaphwan, Mai Shiranui and Cheng Sinzan to defeat Krauser and stop his crime ring.
